My conclusion

Why did I want to read this book?

So far I've only heard good things about it and I'm excited about the cinematic implementation of it. Lauren Oliver had excited me so far with the Delirium trilogy, which I read almost a year ago. Thanks to Carlsen for the reading copy, I was very happy.

What struck me particularly positively:

The story beautifully describes how much we and others are influenced by our behavior and the environment. You can see exactly how much Sam himself sometimes goes wrong and hurts others. But in the course of the story you also notice that she is ready to learn from her mistakes & I think that is the most important lesson in life!

About the characters:

Sam: Unfortunately, I can't describe her directly, because every day she becomes more and more someone else. She learns that she has to do things differently in order to save and beautify lives. She realizes that sometimes you have to risk things in order to live and experience. She tests her limits and at the end finds out who was really and truly so important to her that she would like to spend the last day with those people.

Summarized:

The book was a very moving story for me, which on the one hand tells how nice it can be to be interested in others and not lose sight of your own interests and on the other hand it shows how we are influenced by our environment are. The story also illustrates how quickly life can unfortunately be over. The implementation is great, emotional and entertaining. I can really only recommend this book to you!
