1. The supervisory complaint against a teacher as a last resort

2. File a supervisory complaint against a teacher - this is how it works

Not everything is informal!

Although you do not have to comply with any formal or deadline regulations when filing a complaint, this does not apply to administrative acts.
For example, if you want to defend yourself against expulsion from school or a temporary exclusion from classes, rigid rules apply.

Unlike many other legal disputes there are no formal requirements for the supervisory complaint against a teacher, that you have to adhere to.

If you feel that your child is fundamentally disadvantaged in school, problems with students or teachers go beyond a single case, you should consider changing schools.

5. What teachers can and cannot do

Being a teacher is not always easy. Fortunately, while it was common in the past to slap children, assault in school is now a thing of the past.

However, there are still things that don't go quite right. Bullying in particular is a big problem, because individual teachers repeatedly pick students out of the class in order to deliberately demonstrate them.

In general, with all problems and questions in school, the personal rights of the students must be observed. For example, a teacher cannot talk to students about other students' grades.
It is also forbidden to read secret letters or to search the smartphone.
However, there is nothing to prevent the smartphone from being confiscated for the duration of the day if it was used in class.

Tip: If you question the grades of your children, you can do so as part of a technical supervisory complaint. In practice, however, it has been shown that grade decisions can almost always be justified and are only revoked in extreme cases.

In principle, a complaint against a teacher can also be filed anonymously. In practical terms, however, this only makes sense if a specific circumstance is to be pointed out in general and the focus is not on a specific situation in which one feels that oneself has been treated unfairly.
