Crash 4 Masks: How Each of the Quantum Masks Work and What Capabilities They Give You

The Bandicoots can kill the evil Dr. Don't stop Neo Cortex alone this time; They need help from the Crash 4 masks, which, similar to Aku-Aku and Uka-Uka, are sentient masks that fill the wearer with powers. The four masks in question are known as quantum masks in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's Time, each with their own set of abilities. We have each of the Crash 4 masks described here along with where to get them in the game.

Lani-Loli is the first mask you encounter in Crash Bandicoot 4 at the top of N. Sanity Peak. This ghostly guy is friendly but a little cowardly and gives Crash or Coco the chance to get things in and out of reality.

This means that anything you see with a sparkling blue aura, whether it's a box, a platform, or an obstacle that would normally end you on contact, may essentially not be there. By switching between the two stages, you can grab all of the boxes and access some otherwise inaccessible areas.

'Akano Dark Matter Mask

When you reach Tranquility Falls and Dr. When you first encounter N. Brio, you can use 'Akano'. This solemn, apparently grumpy mask actually has one of the coolest powers; Use dark matter.

'Akano lets the wearer do a dark matter spin, and unlike a normal bandicoot spin attack, a dark matter spin never ends. It deflects enemy attacks with green magic that you can find across the region. More importantly, the greater jump range allows you to soar through the air like an eagle. Splendid.

Kupuna Wa time mask

Crash Bandicoot 4 is about traveling through time. Of course there is a mask with time-related capabilities. Kupuna-Wa can slow time for a short time, while Crash or Coco can move at a normal pace.

This means that otherwise treacherous gaps with falling ice blocks can be successfully overcome and a new type of block for this game - timed blocks - can be broken successfully, otherwise they will disappear far too quickly. It also allows the wearer to wait for nitro crates - wait for them! That's right if you can jump on a nitro box in slow motion and survive, which allows for some crazy gimmicks.

Ika Ika gravity mask

Finally we have Ika Ika, the mask of gravity. While tracking the duo N. Tropy in Bermugula's orbit, you can put Ika Ika to good use.

Instead of creating an anti-gravity effect, Ika Ika flips gravity instead. Running along the ceiling feels super weird at first, but at some point you get used to jumping on the space station and attacking enemies. There are some sections where you have to repeatedly switch between gravity, and while it looks incredibly nasty, Crash and Coco treat it like a boss.
