What is PPL in digital marketing

What does Pay Per Lead mean? What does PPL mean?

Thank you for your rating

Pay per lead (PPL) is a success-based form of payment for mostly digital forms of advertising such as affiliate advertising. In contrast to Pay Per Click ads, where payment is made per click, with Pay per Click compensation the sales partner only receives compensation if an action takes place after the click.

This can be an order or registration for a newsletter. Pay per lead is particularly suitable as a commission model when it comes to the sale of goods that require a lot of advice, as products with complex content are rarely ordered online without advice. Pay per sale would be disadvantageous here, as it is hardly possible to assign them to goods ordered offline.
