Come eat!

Stone fruit

The term stone fruit refers to the plant species whose fruits are shaped as stone fruit. The inner part of the pericarp is woody, while the outer part is fleshy and mostly juicy.

The “stone” distinguishes them from berries, the fleshy outer shell, the meat and the nuts.

Stone fruit is mainly a fruit (more or less sweet), i.e. the common term stone fruit, although fruits that are not part of the fruit (e.g. coconut) also belong to the stone fruit plants.

Soft fruit

Berries are a group of fruits whose common characteristics lie mainly in the characteristics of the fruit (soft, small and round).

A distinction must be made between berries and berries, as the addition of fruit limits their shelf life and their usability. For example, the tomato is botanically considered a berry but counted as a vegetable because it is a year old. Conversely, a large part of the berry varieties are not berries (e.g. the strawberry is a nut fruit), but is traditionally viewed as a berry due to its fruit properties.

Nuts

Nuts are indecent fruits in which all three layers of the pericarp (i.e., the pericarp) become woody. Usually only one seed is added.

Nuts (also called nuts) are fruits whose seeds are surrounded by a hard, mostly woody shell. These are nuts and kernels that are suitable for human consumption. Their pericarp, on the other hand, is not suitable for human consumption.
