Did your intelligence make you lazy

Study: Being lazy is a sign of intelligence

Feeling bad about being such a lazy piece? Then we have good news for you.

Do you prefer Netflix to sport? While this decision often gives you a guilty conscience, scientists have now found something that may make your being lazy easier. Because apparently laziness is related to intelligence.

“Thinkers” are less active

As the British Sun reported, American scientists have now found that people with a high IQ spend more time doing nothing useful. For the survey, students had to fill out questionnaires, the participants were divided into 30 'thinkers' and 30 'non-thinkers'. Their physical activities were then measured over a period of seven days. The results of the data show that the 'thinker' group was less physically active than the 'non-thinkers' group. The main finding of the study: lazy people have fewer problems stimulating their brains.

Enjoy results with caution

That sounds very simple, of course, which is also admitted by the researchers themselves. In fact, it seems more like ’non-thinkers get bored faster, which makes them do more physical activity. Furthermore, the sample of 60 people turned out to be very small, which of course does not result in any valid statements about the population. Nonetheless, a good way to legitimize the series marathon on the couch a little easier.
