Why do your parents throw you out

21 years parents throw me out

  • Good evening folks, I have had problems with my parents for a long time. We just don't harmonize with each other and that's why they want to kick me out. Briefly about myself I did my Abitur and was then a soldier for 2 years, i.e. I saved a lot. My training starts in September. But I don't see a sacrifice of my saved money for bail & commission if my parents want to get rid of me because I think it's less up to me. Where can you expect support from? Can I still go to the youth welfare office? My parents don't see any financial support either, just paying the deposit and commission alone is a lot because I only have 700 euros in my training. I know that the parents have to pay maintenance up to the age of 25, but I don't see that ... they mean I'm old enough and should just get me an apartment. Can I get the legal situation from the office (which one?) As documents and general information for financial support? Be happy about any answer

  • Hello the dude!

I know that the parents have to pay maintenance up to the age of 25

Then you know something wrong. Parents are required to provide maintenance until the end of their first vocational training, if the child is in one.

Parents do not have to let parents live with them if they are of legal age. The obligation to care for the child expires when the child comes of age.

So you're supposed to move out of your home. Then you would have to be treated as a trainee with your own household. That would give you a lump-sum maintenance claim against. Your parents from 670 €. However, the full child benefit, which would then have to be paid out to you, is offset against this.

Remaining € 486. The full training allowance is then credited to this. I therefore assume that you cover your needs yourself with child benefit and apprentice allowance. You would then no longer have the right to support from your parents.

The youth welfare office provides advice up to the age of 21. You're over there. If you want to assert maintenance claims, you can do it yourself, or you can use a lawyer specializing in family law. But it costs money and the chances of success are zero.

  • My parents don't see any financial support either

But that doesn't help them. Until the end of the training there is a maintenance obligation, which you can sue in court if necessary. You could also apply for a vocational training allowance (BAB) at the employment agency during your training. Parental maintenance is to be taken into account. You could explain to the AA that your parents are refusing to support you. Then the AA would pay the BAB with no allowance for alimony and get the money from your parents themselves. But you would have to use a BAB calculator, because with your trainee wages it may be that the need is covered ..

The official route is the connection between the wrong way and a dead end.

  • Thank you for the answers so should I go to the job center or the employment agency? Only had to do with the employment agency so far. What do you think about commission? Are there apartments that are specially designed by the Office for trainees? For students there are apartments that are suitable for shared accommodation, do they also apply to trainees? Merci already.

  • Job center is out of the question for you because you are then in training. Inquire at the employment agency whether BAB is an option for you.

The mentioned € 700 training allowance, is it net or gross?

If you have assets / savings as an adult child, these must be used for livelihood before claims are made against the parents.

  • Hello,

you won't get what you want from the employment agency either.
    An apartment is private pleasure.

    Good evening guys,....

Even if the BAB should be calculated (use the BAB calculator on the Internet),
the costs for moving into the apartment as well as for the initial equipment are listed in SGB III
nowhere reimbursed or borrowed or borrowed from anywhere.

  • Interesting thread!

I'll just throw the keyword housing benefit around. Wouldn't that help too? At least something ...?

  • No, not for trainees who are eligible for the BAB.

  • Say something that goes without saying for the first time and you will be immortal.
