Politicians without a degree: The members of the Bundestag did that beforehand
Diploma, Magister, or no studies at all?
709 members of parliament have come together in the Bundestag. Anyone who thinks that this is where the concentrated load of academic knowledge comes together is wrong: Round 20 percent of the politicians in the Bundestagnamely have no degree at all. The credit portal Vexcash found this out in a survey.
A total of 24 percent of MPs own one Diploma degree and take the largest group of academics a. If you include those who have graduated from a university of applied sciences, it is even around 30 percent. This is followed by politicians who have passed the second state examination (21 percent). In addition to five master’s and ten bachelor’s graduates, twelve professors are represented in the Bundestag - 99 of the members of parliament (21 percent) have a doctorate.
Among those who do not have a university degree, 67 politicians have completed vocational training (9 percent). Two percent of them have a master's degree, five percent have the Abitur as the highest educational qualification in their pockets. With a share of only 0.4 percent (three MPs), politicians with medium maturity make up the smallest group in the Bundestag.

Around 20 percent of the current members of the Bundestag have not completed a degree. Often the time taken up by the political career is considered to be the reason for this. For some, however, it is simply not necessary at all, since they have been active in politics from a young age and have made it their main profession. After all, the member of the Bundestag is onewell paid job with no education. We have summarized five politicians without a degree in a list:
Paul Ziemiak (CDU)
Since December 2018 Paul Ziemiak Secretary General of the CDU. However, the 33-year-old does not have a degree. Martin Schulz (SPD)
After a long time in EU politics, Martin Schulz stood as a candidate for chancellor for the SPD in 2017. Martin Schulz does not have a degree. After middle maturity he completed one commercial training as a bookseller. At the age of 19 he joined the SPD in 1975 and worked his way up in politics until he became the SPD party chairman. Martin Schulz held this position from 2017 to 2018, when he gave up the office voluntarily.
Claudia Roth (Alliance 90 / The Greens)
Claudia Roth broke in Studied theater studies, history and German at the Ludwig Maximilians University Munich off and worked as Dramaturge at the theater. This can be seen from her résumé, which she has published on her homepage. She has been a member of the Green Party since 1987 and has been Vice President of the German Bundestag since October 2013. Katrin Göring-Eckardt (Alliance 90 / The Greens)
A party colleague of Claudia Roth also joins them Politicians with no degree: Katrin Göring-Eckardt has been chairwoman of the parliamentary group of the Greens since October 2013. As the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reports, she did study, but never completed a degree. Joschka Fischer (formerly Alliance 90 / The Greens)

After a abandoned apprenticeship as a photographer Joschka Fischer was involved in the student movement, but he never studied himself. Until 1981 he worked as Taxi driver in Frankfurt. Joschka Fischer was Foreign Minister and Vice Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany from 1998 to 2005 and President of the Council of the European Union from January to June 1999.

Career in the Bundestag: How does it actually work?
The multitude of different qualifications and training courses offered by politicians shows that there is no direct route to the Bundestag gives. One way is through a Membership in youth organizations of the various parties to get into politics.
