Every fingerprint is unique. The line-shaped patterns on the fingertips differ from person to person. This helps the police to solve crimes, and perpetrators can be easily identified using their individual fingerprints.

For 100 years, police officers, commissioners and detectives have been looking for fingerprints at the crime scene. And more than 2000 years ago, promissory notes were signed with fingerprints in China and Japan.

It has been known for a long time that fingerprints are unique. Not even identical twins can be confused in this regard: they too have different fingerprints. This means the very precise arrangement of the individual so-called papillary lines of the finger skin. Why they arrange themselves so individually is not yet known. One theory is that the mother's diet has an impact during pregnancy.

As early as the third month of pregnancy, the arrangement of the papillary lines is fixed - no cuts help, because even small interruptions do not change the specific features. And etching yourself is not a good idea: Such strange peculiarities really put the investigators on the right track.

The last sentence is good advice. A few days ago it was described where I had to hide my valuables in the pool and now I am not allowed to burn my fingertips. ;)

This is God's handwriting! and it clearly challenges the theory of evolution. Such ingenuity and diversity has a creator. It's not a coincidence.

Dear Mr. Berger, I very much hope that you take your comment as a joke. I have never read a more absurd explanation for the existence of a 'creator'. rarely laughed so much!

Yes that is awesome. First God creates people with the ability to commit criminal acts and then we can convict them thanks to individual fingerprints.

And I say: Which religion is right at all? We have dozens of religions here and they believe and think of something else. Is there really a real one of them all? There is a lot more than just Christianity here on our planet. You can leave out your Christianity elsewhere (in your church for example), but not on the Internet ... I prefer to believe in coincidences than in "the one".

Indeed, now hopefully the last scientist is converted. That you couldn't come up with it earlier?

Your Creator did a great job with people!

But seriously: evolution only comes into play where a variant of a characteristic can mean an advantage for survival. And that's not really the case with papillary lines. So it is not worth the effort to make a selection. So here something can be left to chance.
