Where can I see John Wick 3
Good question: can you actually stream "John Wick" on Netflix?
With "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum" the story of the tough assassin goes into the third round. The film has already impressed numerous fans in the cinema, but many fans also want to watch Baba Yaga on their home screen during his blatant actions. You wonder if "John Wick" is streaming on Netflix. We deliver the answer.
First of all, the bad news: Neither "John Wick" nor "John Wick: Chapter 2" are available for streaming on Netflix. The reason for this is an exclusive deal that film distributor Summit Entertainment has concluded with US broadcaster HBO.
That's why "John Wick" isn't on Netflix
The deal with HBO ensures that fans of the "John Wick" films are faced with a problem similar to that of "Game of Thrones": The competitive situation between HBO and Netflix on the US market ensures that the content of one Broadcasters are not shown by each other. This is also the case in Germany, where both HBO and Netflix lure customers with flat-rate subscriptions.
The exclusive contract between Summit Entertainment and HBO runs until 2022, so "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum" and even the sequel "John Wick: Chapter 4" announced for 2021 are affected.
This is how you bring "John Wick" into your home theater
Even if the "John Wick" films are not available for streaming on Netflix: You still have various options for bringing the Baba Yaga into your home theater. On the one hand, you can already buy "John Wick" and "John Wick: Kapitel 2" as Blu-ray or DVD. For "John Wick: Kapitel 3" you will soon also have this possibility.
On the other hand, the action films are available for purchase or rental on various video-on-demand services (VoD) for a fee. You can watch the "John Wick" films on Amazon, Maxdome and iTunes, among others. The blockbusters are also available for streaming in the Sky Store. And if you have an Xbox One, Xbox 360 or any other suitable Microsoft device, you can at least get the Baba Yaga's first adventure from the Microsoft Store.
Why is "John Wick" running on other video-on-demand services?
Why is "John Wick" available on streaming services other than Netflix? With the various VoD providers, the films in the series are not part of a subscription, but are bought or rented individually. The only exception is Maxdome, the service also offers the first "John Wick" film via streaming subscription.
With the other providers, however, there is no direct competition for paying subscribers as between Netflix and HBO. In addition, part of the income generated through purchase and rental fees is donated to HBO.
