Who uses imperial units

DreamPlan supports imperial and metric units. Imperial units are used in the US, UK, parts of Canada, and some more. Metric units are used by most of the world.

DreamPlan tries to determine which units make the most sense based on your computer settings. You can change the units at any time in the options.

Imperial units: Imperial units are expressed in feet and inches. Feet are indicated by a single prime (') and inches are indicated by a double prime ("). Large measurements (e.g. wall lengths) are shown in feet and inches and small measurements (e.g. wall widths) are shown in inches only.

Entering imperial units: There are a number of ways to enter imperial units using a single prime (') for feet and a double (") for inches. Fractions and decimal places can also be entered. Fractions are rounded to the nearest 1/16". Here are some examples of entering imperial units:

Metric units: Metric units are given in meters and millimeters. Meters are marked with "m" and millimeters with "mm". Large dimensions (e.g. wall lengths) are shown in meters and small dimensions (e.g. wall widths) are shown in millimeters.

Entering metric units: Metric units can be entered by marking them with meters (m) or millimeters (mm). Here are some examples of entering metric units:
