5. Make money with private label rights
As a marketer, you can benefit from over 50 ways to make money with private label rights (PLR). However, you have to be very detailed.
First of all, don't take the product word for word. Edit it so that 65% of the content seems to come from your pen. As soon as you understand the PLR usage rights, you can bring already “tried and tested” repackaged onto the market and earn money with it.
Before Panda struck in February 2011, PLR products were very popular and many marketers and bloggers used these products to create content for their websites.
What are private label rights?
Here is Wikipedia's definition:
Private label rights is a license under which the author sells the intellectual property rights to his work. The license is defined by the author of the work and has no legal definition. Private label rights are derived from private labeling.
In other words, PLR products are pre-existing content that you can use as your own without breaking any legal regulations.
In the past, you could start a new website by downloading a few PLR articles and offering them to your audience. However, the rules of the game have since changed.Duplicate content is against Google's terms and conditions and could penalize your website.
Nonetheless, you can still make money as a blogger with private label rights. If you are a new / inexperienced blogger, you can use other people's products to your advantage.
Creating an information product (e.g. e-book) from scratch can be difficult. If you've only recently started blogging, you will likely lack the necessary experience. In the worst case, you put a lot of energy and work into your product and in the end nobody buys it.
Here are a few arguments why creating a product from scratch can be tiring:
With PLR products you don't need any of that.
Even if you are not particularly knowledgeable, you can still become a writer in a certain area. For example, you can use PLR articles to write Kindle books on "plastic surgery," even if you are not well versed in the subject.
You can also create articles for your blog by using PLR content. When evaluating PLR products, you should pay attention to the following 3 characteristics:
- recently developed
- Written by a renowned author
- published in limited edition
Most bloggers and internet marketers have a hard time making money from PLR products because they are simply lazy. They take over the content word for word. Even when creating an e-book, most people don't change the content.
If you find a worthwhile PLR product, you need to rewrite at least 30-40% of the content. You can find high-quality PLR e-books, articles, videos and audio content on websites such as InDigitalWorks, PLRWholesaler and many more.
Aside from rewriting PLR articles or e-books, there is a lot more you can do with PLR products. Typically, PLR content is built around profitable niche keywords and information that the target audience is specifically looking for.
You can also use the content-related knowledge of PLR products as a source of information and create your own high-quality e-book based on this information.
Annotation: To ensure credibility and create a cognitive brand, I don't recommend using PLR articles for your own blog.
Of course, you can learn a lot about a particular topic from the writer, but try your best to write your own content.
You can also use PLR products indirectly. For example, you can rewrite a PLR book and give it as a gift to grow your email list. You can then make money from your email list.
6. Create a high-converting funnel and recommend products in the Back end
What happens once people join your email list?
Are you initially excited to have new email subscribers and then just ignore them?
Follow-up and maintaining relationships is essential. According to Marketing Donut, "around 44% of all salespeople give up after the first follow-up and on average they try to reach a potential customer only 2 times".
Repeated contact turns potential customers into buyers, which is how most sales are made. Follow-up emails allow you to connect with motivated buyers and eventually sell through the back end.
By continuously sending out follow-up emails, this entrepreneur has actually managed to connect with over 27 CEOs from companies such as Amazon, Imgur, Pandora and Twitter.
Relationships are the easiest way to build blog reader trust and sell a product. It sounds so simple, but a lot of people don't care.
Relationships should always start by making it clear what your main line of business is. You then lead your potential customers through a sales funnel, providing qualitative content in every phase.
There is one thing you need to understand: there is nothing wrong with selling something to your readers. As long as your product has added value, you are doing the right thing. True to the motto “You are doing the world a favor”.
So you don't have to feel bad about selling a valuable product to your blog readers.
However, instead of becoming too fixated on selling the product, you should rather build a relationship with your readers; and that's when the marketing funnel comes into play.
The real goal of the marketing funnel is to attract strangers, convert them into leads, negotiate something, and ultimately turn them into customers. After the sale, they should be happy to have purchased your product.
The moment you lead potential customers into your funnel, they will decide to join your email list and will be added to your follow-up autoreply.
You maintain the relationship with your blog posts, videos, infographics, e-books and much more. Ideally, you can also ask these users directly which topics they are particularly interested in. Then you can create high quality content for them accordingly.
Converting visitors to customers should be your primary concern as a blogger. You don't necessarily have to blog all the time, but if you take good care of the prospect's email list, you will be financially rewarded.
In the further process, you can recommend affiliate programs and products, your own e-books or software.
After you've established a healthy foundation of trust, you should share with them any product that might be useful.Help them achieve their goals by suggesting the same products and services that helped you.
